Thịt nướng mận hậu là món ăn khá quen thuộc của người miền Bắc mỗi khi mùa mận về. Những trái mận chín mộng căng nước được ướp và nướng cùng với thịt cho ra những hương vị đặc trưng của món ngon đầu mùa.
Thịt mua về rửa sạch, thái miếng to và dày khoảng 1.5 cm. Cho thịt vào tô lớn, thêm gói ngũ vị hương, 1/2 muỗng cà phê chút đường, 1/2 muỗng cà phê muối 10ml dầu ăn. Trộn đều tất cả nguyên liệu và ướp 15 phút.
Mận rửa sạch, dùng dao khía sâu tới tận hạt, dọc theo từ phần cuống bên này sang bên kia. Dùng tay xoay tròn theo chiều đã khía để tách đôi quả mận và lọc bỏ hạt. Sau khi đã tách đôi từng quả mận xong, bạn cho vào tô. Thêm chút 1 muỗng cà phê muối và 1/3 muỗng cà phê tiêu. Lắc đều. Ướp khoảng 10-15 phút.
Sau đó bạn cho phần mận vào tô thịt đang ướp, ướp chung trong khoảng 1 tiếng để thịt ngấm vị chua ngọt của mận.
Khi đã ướp thịt xong bạn cho thịt lên vỉ nướng. Cho vào lò nướng, ở 250 độ C. Sau khi một mặt thịt đã vàng, bạn xếp mận lên vỉ nướng cùng.
Khi thịt chín đều thì cho ra đĩa cùng với mận, dùng nóng với cơm nhé! Có thể chấm với thức chấm tùy thích.
